Considerate Contractors Excellent-Rated

Great news – Kent Structures has been nominated for a Considerate Construction Innovation Award.

The nomination follows an Excellent-rated report for our Church & Dwight Industrial Unit project. The CSS assessor recognised our efforts to go above and beyond in community and environmental engagement.

Special thanks go to site manager Ollie Hopkins. His commitment to best practice has been key to this success. We also thank our dedicated workforce and contractors, whose support ensures our policies are consistently upheld.

The Considerate Construction Innovation Award is not a single standalone prize. It is part of the Considerate Constructors Scheme’s (CCS) recognition of innovation through their National Site Awards and the former Leading Lights Awards.

These awards highlight projects, organisations, and individuals who exceed the CCS Code of Considerate Practice. They celebrate excellence in workforce welfare, environmental responsibility, and community engagement, including innovative new initiatives.

Our nomination will now be reviewed by the panel for inclusion in this year’s National Site Awards. While we await the outcome, we are delighted to have been considered for such a respected recognition.

This marks our third Excellent-rated report since joining the scheme in late 2022. Our Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School Teaching Block project also achieved Excellent across all categories. This highlighted our strong commitment to our workforce, the environment, and the wider community.

We remain proud of our record and grateful to our team, contractors, and partners who make these achievements possible.

ABOUT THE CONSIDERATE CONTRACTORS SCHEME

The Considerate Constructors Scheme has been supporting and driving positive change in the construction industry for the past three decades.

We have a Code of Considerate Practice which helps drive better conduct and higher standards across construction activities. The Code describes how construction teams which register their construction activity with us can operate more responsibly and respectfully.

With our guidance, those running a construction site can make informed choices that help improve their standards and lessen their overall impact on the communities around them.

The Code focusses on three areas:
– Respecting the community
– Caring for the environment
– Valuing the workforce
